The weekend - in brief

It's been a full and busy weekend...lots of socialising, champagne and pimms, finger sandwiches, homemade cakes, sunshine and rain but crammed with fun and high spirits...

Homebaked raison whirls - SOOOOOO good, and filled with creme patisserie



Hickstead Derby in all it's glory:  I've never been to a showjumping arena before and it was SUCH fun.  Our box looked straight out onto the arena, and although I'm not a horsey person, even I had to admit they are beautiful creatures.  I totally got into it and had a little flutter (very little!), ate and drank way too much and even the rain held off.
